Sewing 101 & Draping 101 Fashion forward classes for beginners with Laura McCracken
Learn to make beautiful simple garments. Classes are private, one-on-one or semi private, 2 students so you get plenty of attention as you work at your own pace. Many sewing schools offer classes where you make a wrap skirt or a bag in about 4 or 5 classes. You are learning how to use the sewing machine but you’re not learning major fundamentals that go into making a garment so that you will be able to sew and carry out projects on your own, and large classes don’t provide enough one on one attention. At sew New York the focus is to teach you all the correct fundamentals and techniques for machine sewing as well as the many hand sewing techniques that go into making a complete garment. So start sewing the right way, learn how to read a pattern, learn how to put a sleeve into a garment and so much more.
